The Professional Detailing Series 500 is Waxit’s complete 5-day hands-on detailing workshop designed for enthusiasts, future business owners and existing detailers wanting to sharpen their skills properly.

This course covers the full detailing process from safe washing and paint decontamination through to machine polishing, interior detailing and professional-grade ceramic coating application.

Over the 5 days, you’ll work with industry-standard tools, products and techniques used daily by professional detailers, including car shampoo systems, iron removers, clay bars, cordless polishers and ceramic coating systems.

Whether you’re looking to start detailing professionally or simply want to understand modern paint correction and protection properly, this workshop gives you real-world practical training in a small group environment.

 

The Purpose of the Class:

We want to provide students with practical, hands-on detailing knowledge that can be confidently applied in both professional and personal environments. The course is designed to guide students through the complete detailing process, including safe washing, decontamination, paint correction, ceramic coating application and interior detailing using professional tools, products and techniques.

Beyond the technical skills, the class also aims to help students better understand the detailing industry as a whole. This includes product knowledge, workflow efficiency, customer communication, pricing and marketing fundamentals for those looking to start or grow a detailing business. Throughout the 5 days, the focus remains on real-world learning in a small group environment with direct guidance and practical experience.

 

Our Teaching Objective:

Throughout the course, students will learn safe washing methods, paint decontamination techniques, machine polishing, ceramic coating application and interior detailing using professional-grade products, tools and equipment.

The course also aims to build confidence in real-world detailing situations while improving workflow, product knowledge and problem-solving skills. Program Delivery & Learning Objectives:

This course runs across multiple modules over several days, each focused on one of the four core pillars of detailing. Here’s what we’ll dive into:

• 1. Surface Cleaning & Prep
  Learn how to properly clean and decontaminate all exterior surfaces, setting the foundation for safe correction and protection.
• 2. Paint & Trim Correction
  Hands-on correction techniques for paintwork, trims and other exterior surfaces. You’ll get familiar with machines, pads, and polishers, and know when (and when not) to use them.
• 3. Interior Cleaning & Detailing
  Covering fabrics, plastics, leather and everything in between. From stain removal to safe product use, you’ll be working inside the cabin with purpose.
• 4. Paint Protection & Coatings
  Application techniques for waxes, sealants, ceramic coatings, and trim protectants. Plus how to choose the right product for the right surface.

Bonus topics like customer service, pricing and marketing will also be included, giving you a better edge whether you're running your own setup or working in a team.

Each core module includes guided tasks, demos and hands-on time. You’re encouraged to ask questions throughout.
